Operations and Maintenance

Solar Operations and Maintenance consists of annual maintenance inspections, repairs, and testing. Like all power generation systems, solar PV arrays need periodic maintenance. This includes visual and mechanical checks, aerial infrared inspection of the modules, and infrared inspections of the electrical terminations in all the AC and DC equipment.

Testing is another aspect of O&M and is crucial to ensure the system is performing at its peak efficiency. It is also a quick way to find issues within a section of the array.
