Commissioning

Commissioning a solar PV system is critical to verify the system will run smoothly once it is turned on and connected to the electrical grid.

Commissioning a system can include; string testing, aerial thermal imaging, thermal imaging of all the electrical components, visual inspection of the solar mounting structure, and verification of equipment used. Sometimes when the install technicians are in a hurry, they may forget to tighten an electrical lug, plug in a string, or miss a module bolt. Commissioning the system is a great way to get an additional set of eyes on the project before it is turned on.
